dear skylee:

as i made supper the other day and looked down at you dancing at my feet i got a little emotional.

you see,

i'm going to miss you!

i'm going to miss your little baby talk, that you think you can get whatever you want with your little "pees" {please} while signing it.

i'm going to miss you "singing" your version of popcorn popping. i'm going to miss your toothy grin and the way you light up when any of us walk in the room.

you see...in even just 6 short months your going to be different... more independent.... more grown up, and i'm sad. i honestly don't even remember jaylene at your stage, and that breaks my heart. this is just a very small stage of your little life and i'm going to miss you terribly. you are so good and cute and funny.

you had to grow up faster cuz you have a new little sister, but you love her like crazy and always trying to help.

i'm going to miss your fake laugh that you do when everybody else is laughing. i'm going to miss your pudgy little hands and your stubby legs.

i'm going to miss you saweet dance moves {i'm sure they'll just get sweeter}

i'm going to miss the way you answer a question with a big ah-hu while nodding. or the way you say ya in a high pitched voice then say no in a normal voice... ya/no. it's hilarious.

i'm going to miss the way you throw your head back and say ahhhh in a deep husky voice when your told to get off the chair, or get down.

i'm going to miss the very cute way you say "why" when i tell you to do something with your little hands out.

i'm going to miss the way you say noooooooooo lol

i'm going to miss the way you say uh-oh with your eyebrows raised and your big brown eyes looking at me to see if your in trouble

i'm going to miss the way you fold your arms and bow your head down when you hear the word prayer....it's just not as big of deal or as cute the older you get.

i'm going to miss the way you tease ryder by standing in front of the TV just to get his attention.

i'm going to miss the very cute way you say "nigh nigh" while waving to everybody and anybody as soon as you see your bottle

i'm going to miss the way you go to give everybody a kiss when you get in trouble...as if your kiss with make everything better {and it does}

and just simply i'm going to miss your little voice and your sweet laugh...cuz they will change as you get bigger.

as parents we don't realize how fast the really do grow up and that each stage is so precious and we should soak it up as much as we can cuz it goes by WAY to fast. and one day we're going to miss the crying, the fingerprints EVERYWHERE...the toys strewn all over the house and the endless amount of laundry. the house with be quiet and we'll think back to these "hard" days of motherhood...and i'm going to be sad. i already am sad, and my kids are still here :(
