we didn't do much halloween morning, to busy getting ready for halloween night. karim had school so he couldn't make it to the costume parade... i'm sure he was devastated haha.
we got ready and i fed the girls lunch
we had mummy wrapped ham & cheese baked thingys, ghost bananas, apple & marshmallow teeth, a halloween lucky charm krispie, and green milk. simple, yet fun

we actually put pyper to bed (so handy having mr. bruce downstairs lol) and just this girl and i went.

she didn't like that i wouldn't let her wear her wig to school but wigs are a pain in the butt and get wrecked so fast lol
COSTUMES
i found this owl and pocahontas months ago on pinterest and fell in love... so i set out to get them together. i've never done "make your own" before that was kind of fun.
so cute right?
this is what we came up with
skylee's was a challenge but it came together at the last minute! super cute!
ryder of course was a super hero... he's a super hero everyday lol
he chose captain america and even though there was a million of them he was happy with his choice!
jaylene originally wanted to be the tangled princess BUT i couldn't find anything over a size 6...so while i was in great falls i saw the monster high girls costumes and i knew should would love it. wal mart didn't have the right wig for the costume BUT i like the one we got way better... looks so cute in the piggies (and stayed nicer for longer)
after the parade we came home, laid skylee down for a little nap and loaded the van with everthing. picked up the kids and headed to cardston.
we got to cardston, had our traditional cream or potato soup from my aunts cook book and started getting ready. took me a good hour to get everyone ready ready!
(everyone was layered pretty good)
we drove around to see our usual people, then parked and did a block... by then the little girls were done
as we were walking back to the car skylee's saying.... "i'm gonna get my jammies on. watch a movie. get a blanket. eat candy. and get warm. haha!
karim stayed with the big kids and did the east hill and i took the little girls to my parents.
j&r went strong for another hour
we then headed to the high school to do the usual games, it was fun and the kids found some friends so they just went and played and karim and i sat and hung out (never happens.. usually chasing after s&p)
we left after 45 min.. it was getting pretty late.

oh boy! i think this is the most my kids have ever had!
our rule is they get to eat as much as they want for 1 week... then it's gone! my mom used to hide it and say we could have 1 here or there and that just drags it out and makes everybody miserable... so i say the sooner it's gone the better. lol
after the kids were cleaned up and in bed we rented a movie and scoped out the candy haha
it's what good parents do :)
halloween decorations went down Nov 1, and christmas decorations go up tomorrow (while karim is home to help)
i made the christmas "list" of ideas and kids wants and i seriously feel like i just did this! crazy how fast a year goes (unless your pregnant... than it draggggs onnnn! bleh)
