so, as i mentioned in the last post i didn't want to spend it alone. i thought about some fun stuff to do with the kids BUT then i remembered that they would be gone that week. and i knew the little girls wouldn't last SO i decided to go hang with my parents! they are fun people and it's always a good time. i invited nikki too.
we put all the christmas stuff away and cleaned all day! i was excited to have a fresh start on new years day.
karim headed to work around 4 and we headed to cardston to get some last minute stuff at extra foods then home to mom & dads to start cooking and playing!!
look at all that food! good thing for new years resolutions ;)
the littles watched a movie and we chatted around the dinner table.
i put the girls to bed and the adults started playing. we played wizard, rook, and rummy kub. 3 of my favorites!!
at 11:58 karim called and we put him on speaker and we all counted down and popped some bubbly!
karim drove down after work and we played some more games... the parents went to be around 12:30... they just can't keep up with us haha.
THEN i had the WORST. NIGHT. EVER! we went to bed around 2:30 and i tossed and turned till 6AM! my littles weren't sleeping great and ya it was not great, so at 6 i packed skylee and headed home! karim, pyper & nikki stayed asleep and came home later. bleh! i really need to get my insomnia looked at!!!
anyway, it was a fun night! and it's great to have a fresh, new year to start trying to be a better person :)
