thursday- we woke up early and headed to raymond to the parade and to see some friends. it was good, i think cardston's is better but that's probably because i know everybody haha
the we headed to lethbridge to go to wal-mart and to get some lunch, after that we headed back to raymond to hang out and wait for out freinds BBQ.
the big backyard BBQ
jaylene and ryder were with thier other family so we just had skylee...i had mixed emotion about it. i was sad they weren't there with us and i kept turning to tell them something at the parade and then realized they weren't there. this is the 1st canada day i spent without them :( BUT on the other hand, it makes coming and going alot easier and a little less stressful....but all in all they had a blast so thats all that matters.
after the BBQ we decided to head home to see other friends and family at party in the park, and it was fun. we saw the kids, they looked like orphans but thats ok lol, and we saw tons of other people so it was great.
we headed home to talk to my mom and dad for a little while and to get changed and get blankets and then headed back down for the fireworks. by this time skylee had only had an hour nap the whole day so....she was very tired and i should have left her home but it was her first time and i was selfish and wanted her to be there.....WELL she lasted 10 min and from then on was whining and grumpy and being the wonderful mother i am, i forgot a bottle haha....so needless to say it wasn't as enjoyable....but then we came home, put her to bed then played some rook.....of course ;)
Friday- we headed back to raymond for a baptism, it was really nice and makes me excited for next summer when jaylene will be getting baptised (wow)
after the little dinner we headed home because my aunt and uncle had just gotten home from china and a few of me cousins were there so it was a big nice family get together! let me tell ya, my cahoon family so just so great, they're just all together nice, kind people! i love being able to see them as often as i get too.
we also went to karate kid- fabulous!!
Saturday- we stayed home and did some laundry and tidyed up and then had a big family BBQ at our house, and talked/ hung out while the kids all played together.
Sunday- independence day! i'm american and more than half of my family is american so we were in the states alot growing up, i still get there about once a year. besides the last couple of years...i've never celebrated canada day because i was never here i was always in the states for independence day. anyways, not much we could do to celebrate but my kids wore thier outfits and we went and played with all our cousins again (after church that it)
(bella and jaylene had a sleepover, so she wore jaylene's canada day dress)
(aren't they the cutest)
hope everyone had as good of a weekend as we did!!!
