glorious and free

oh man did we ever have a busy canada day. i woke up pretty early so that i could make the kids pancakes and bacon...then we all got ready and headed to the parade. we met some of our friends there and some of the bevans/prete family there.

ryder loved being around his boy cousins (the poor boy is ALWAYS around girls) so he disappeared with them

jaylene for some reason pouted thru the 1st half of the parade and was in the van for half of it. i have NO CLUE why...she so frustrating sometimes. after karim talked to her for a few min she came out and decided to be happy so that was good.

skylee love love loved runnng after the candy....it was pretty cute. my friend got me thinking though when she said "funny how we teach our kids to run on the road" hmmm.........

pyper got tired half way thru and karim FORGOT the soother so that was fun (insert sarcasm here) but she finally gave in and fell asleep.

there were some great floats.

after the parade we went home and had a BBQ with our friends, kids went to the park, and babies went t bed. after babies woke up we went swimming at the "cool pool" we had a BLAST!!! skylee loves the waterslides, so do i and so does jaylene. ryder...just kinda hangs out on the sidelines playing where he can touch.

when we got home we got everybody showered, poor pyper was so tired that by the time her bath was ready, she was PASSED OUT!

after we got ready again, we headed over to another friends for a BBQ supper. it was FABULOUS....but we had to eat and run cuz we headed to cardston for the good ol party in the park. the kids love it there. but really who wouldn't love bouncing on those bounce houses?!?!?

skylee couldn't go on those so she hung out with us and danced to the music, ate popcorn and petted bunnies and horsies.

at 9 when it was over we went to gramma and grampa's to see uncle ken and aunt joan and get jammies on to get ready for the firworks. we put poor pyper to bed (she was so tired) and busted out the glow sticks and headed on down. this was the 1st real year for skylee....her 1st reaction she covered her eyes haha...then was IN LOVE!!!! she would say

"1...2...PRETTY" "1...2...PRETTY"

soooo cute!

the fireworks this year were AWESOME, cardston really stepped up this year.

we picked up pyper and headed home with 4 exhausted children and 2 exhausted parents. we all slept in until 10 haha.

what a GREAT day :)
